Andalusia in 5 Days: Seville, Córdoba and Málaga
Seville, Córdoba and Málaga are linked by high-speed trains, so five days are enough to see the three cities without a car. Spend two days in Seville, one in Córdoba and finish on the coast in Málaga.

Your 5-day route, city by city
The route at a glance
- Days 1–2: Seville
- Day 3: Córdoba (about 45 minutes from Seville by high-speed train)
- Days 4–5: Málaga (about 1 hour from Córdoba by high-speed train)
Days 1 and 2: Seville
Seville's main sights sit within walking distance of each other in the old town. Book a time slot for the Royal Alcázar before you travel: it is the busiest visit in the city.
- Royal Alcázar: palaces and gardens; plan at least two hours.
- Plaza de Toros de la Maestranza: guided visit of the bullring and its museum, by the river.
- Palacio de las Dueñas: a palace with courtyards and gardens, quieter than the Alcázar.
- Flamenco Dance Museum: the history of flamenco, with live shows in the evening.
- Isla Mágica: a theme park on the Isla de la Cartuja, if you travel with children in season.
Day 3: Córdoba
Take an early train and spend the day around the Mezquita-Catedral, the Jewish quarter and the Roman bridge. In May, many private courtyards open for the Patios festival. Our Córdoba guide has the full list of sights.
Days 4 and 5: Málaga
From Córdoba, Málaga is about an hour by train. Split your time between the hill with the Alcazaba and the Gibralfaro castle, the museums of the historic centre and the beach at La Malagueta. See tickets for Málaga's museums and sights and our Málaga guide.
Practical tips
- From June to September, plan outdoor visits for the morning and the evening: midday heat is strong.
- Trains between the three cities fill up on weekends and holidays; buy tickets early.
- Most monuments close one day a week or have shorter hours on Sundays: check before you go.
